    • Inside the trial so vile people have been crying inside the courtroom
      Feb 18 2026

This week on The Trial: USA, we take you inside a Manhattan courtroom where the sex trafficking trial of Tal, Oren and Alon Alexander has entered its third week - and testimony has left people in tears.

Once high-flying real estate brokers to the rich and famous, the brothers now face federal charges alleging they used wealth and status to lure women - including minors - before drugging and assaulting them. They have pleaded not guilty.

Senior Reporter Luke Kenton, who has been inside the courtroom throughout - joins us to describe the atmosphere, the reactions from the brothers and their families, and the explosive text messages prosecutors say reveal a pattern of “hunting,” drugs and manipulation. We break down the key witnesses so far, the emotional turning points, and what to expect when the trial resumes after a brief hiatus.

      Plus:

      • A landmark case is currently unfolding in Georgia, as a father goes on trial in connection with the Apalachee High School shooting - carried out by his 14-year-old son.
      • Jury selection concludes in Utah ahead of the trial of Kouri Richins, accused of poisoning her husband with a fentanyl-laced Moscow Mule, before publishing a children’s book about grief.

    • Nancy Guthrie abduction: Are we any closer to knowing what really happened? (edited)
      Feb 11 2026

The search for 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie escalates.

Just hours after Savannah Guthrie issued a public plea, the FBI released disturbing doorbell footage showing a masked, armed suspect disabling Nancy’s camera the night she disappeared.

Overnight, a man detained near the Mexican border in connection with the case was released after authorities carried out a court-ordered search of the property where he had been staying in Rio Rico, Arizona. Federal officials say they are reviewing multiple persons of interest.

Meanwhile, a Bitcoin account referenced in alleged ransom letters showed minor activity after a $6 million deadline passed.

So what does this latest turn mean?

Was the detention a real lead — or a dead end?

And what does the suspect’s behavior on camera reveal?

Kayla Brantley is joined by retired homicide detective Chris McDonough to break down the latest developments and what could come next.

    • The Mysterious Disappearance of Nancy Guthrie
      Feb 4 2026

In this episode of The Trial USA, we bring you everything we know so far about the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of Savannah Guthrie, who police say was abducted from her home in the middle of the night.

Investigators have confirmed forced entry and blood at the scene, and say this is now being treated as a crime. We speak to senior investigative reporter Steve Helling, who has been covering the case all week, about the timeline, the evidence, the alleged ransom note sent to TMZ - and what police believe may have happened.

We then bring you an update on a case we previously covered in depth: Brendan Banfield, the former IRS agent accused of orchestrating his wife’s murder and killing a stranger as part of an elaborate cover-up. A Virginia jury has now found Banfield guilty on all major counts, and we break down the verdict, the prosecution’s case, and what happens next.

And finally, we cover the stunning new charge involving Jill Biden’s ex-husband, who has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of his wife in Delaware.
