This is one of those history lessons that sounds unbelievable but 100% happened - a river of lava whiskey. This episode is filled with mispronounced words, condescension, and…poop. The episode where Boydston shares some true crime with us that is one of her favorite stories to cover: a good old fashioned scam. Meet Count Victor Lustig who sold the Eiffel Tower for scrap metal…twice. Except, we’re pretty sure the Eiffel Tower is still famous and standing, so obviously he didn’t ACTUALLY sell it. We’ll talk about con artists, the psychology behind the art of the scam, and how it relates to MLMs in today’s society. And for a bonus scene, you’ll hear how we can’t wait to play Titanic and how we would do VR drowning.

The episode where Lindsey brings us a smorgasbord about a notorious serial killer…who also just happens to be a crocodile. This is Gustave, also known as the killer croc, who has obtained mythological status in parts of Africa. He is a BIG croc, and thought to be responsible for many human deaths over the years - some think as low as 60, others estimate it’s in the hundreds. It’s a fascinating story, but weirdly enough - he’s never been captured and we still don’t know where he is!

The episode where Sarah covers the haunted story of the SS Ourang Medan, a ghost ship and urban legend from the 1940s. Legend has it that the ship was found dead in the water after a distress signal was sent out from the straits of Malacca…and when hep arrived, everyone on board was dead. Aliens? Government coverup? Haunted artifacts (LAUREN! We told her to get off the ship, promise)? What are your thoughts?
