 Hi, my name is Leah & I grew up in polygamy. Thanks to shows like Sisterwives, Escaping Polygamy, Seeking Sister Wife, My Five Wives, & countless others, you've probably seen or at least heard something about polygamy by now, but there is much more to it than what they choose to portray in the media! I want to use this podcast to shed some light on what really goes on in polygamy & use this as an opportunity to educate people on the different groups, practices, & beliefs. You will hear from individuals from different cults about their upbringings & abuse, I’ll answer your questions, & I will shed some light into my own personal life as well & what led me to leave my own group.       In this episode of The Telestial Tea, I interview Ben Brown; the nephew of Kody Brown. Ben Brown left the polygamist cult known as the AUB or Apostolic United Brethren in 2007 & eventually converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints before ultimately deciding to leave Mormonism & the teachings of Joseph Smith behind entirely to pursue his own spiritual journey.

      Ben found healing in humor, & is now actively working to help bring the same to others while living his life to the fullest. He's known on TikTok as "The Fresh King Benjamin" & has worked with Sunstone (see the link below) to help to educate & teach those from different religious & cultural background to empathize with each other.

      I thoroughly enjoyed speaking with Ben, although I think it's important to disclose that we both have a very sarcastic sense of humor. Please do not take anything we discuss to heart, as these are our own personal experiences with both sarcastic & humorous undertones & are not meant to offend.
