The Street Observer

“It Could Happen to Anyone.”

Every street corner has a story.

Every face has a history.

Every life has a turning point.

The Street Observer is a compelling and thought-provoking podcast that shines a light on the growing homeless epidemic affecting communities across America.

Through the eyes and journal entries of observer Jake, listeners are introduced to the lives of two homeless men, Charles and Roger, whose journeys reveal the hardships, struggles, triumphs, and realities of life on the streets.

Each episode unfolds in a unique format. Jake first presents his observations and experiences in a captivating storytelling style, bringing listeners directly into the world of Charles and Roger.

The narrative then transitions into candid interviews and conversations with the men themselves, offering authentic perspectives, personal reflections, and honest discussions about homelessness, survival, and the choices and circumstances that led them where they are today.

While Charles and Roger remain at the heart of this continuing series, The Street Observer also welcomes stories and experiences from listeners.

Selected submissions may be featured in special companion episodes that explore additional perspectives on homelessness, financial hardship, personal setbacks, resilience, and recovery.

Listener questions may also be discussed during these special presentations.
More than entertainment,

The Street Observer seeks to educate, inspire understanding, and encourage meaningful conversations.

By sharing real stories and real experiences, we hope listeners gain valuable insights that may help them avoid homelessness themselves, assist friends or family facing difficult circumstances, and better understand the challenges many people encounter every day.

New episodes premiere every third Saturday of the month at 8:00 PM Central Standard Time.

Special listener-submitted stories and discussion episodes are released periodically throughout the year.
