  • Buy a Computer for Your Seven Year Old
    Dec 22 2024
We compare the child, before seven years old, with the child at seven years of age. As we continue our exploration of initiation rites at the age of seven, we begin to discover that we may not need candles and Latin incantations to mark one of the most important times in a child's life. Coming into the Christmas, it is synchronistic to highlight the importance of family bonding at age seven, just as it is important at Christmas time.

  • Sweat Lodge Stories with Mitzie
    Dec 16 2024
Geri Quintero is a Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner, a GAPS diet practitioner and accomplished herbalist practicing out of the Yreka Healing Arts Centre in Yreka Caifornia. She is also the host of Brigid's Well, on Revolution.Radio Studio A, Tuesdays 8pm-10pm ET. Geri, AKA Mitzie, shares anecdotes relating to coming-of-age rites of the Indigenous People of the Americas. Her stories, shared in this episode, show that these initiations are more about honouring the individual as part of the community, the world and nature. A theme of acceptance seems to be at play, while the rites and celebrations seem to counter the current western indoctrination system and cultural norms. This episode encourages the possibility of marking milestones in the family with celebrations and activities as an antidote to our current situation!

  • Jack and The Beanstalk | Decoding Fairy Tales
    Dec 1 2024
Jack and The Beanstalk most likely was written a very long time ago. Marie Cachet and Varg Vikerenes' decoding, or maieutics appear to be rock solid. Linking back to the bear-cult of the stone age, Jack and the Beanstalk explains important knowledge of procreation, child development and spirituality. Through allegory and symbol, the story explains pregnancy, childbirth and the reincarnation of the ancestor in the child at age seven. This episode feels like the deeper we go, the more we are barely scratching the surface. There is evidence of the footprints of seven-year-old footprints in prominent positions of ancient ritual sites in France. This further emphasises the societal importance of the transition from early childhood to age seven and the change of teeth. With the number seven popping up in fairy tales, we have found a lead into our next topic: to find solutions to contemporary problems by looking at old ways.

  • Kids Like to (Pretend to) Die
    Nov 16 2024
One of the themes in children's dramatic play is the theme of death. Children's play involves death and and there must be a reason for it. This play sends a signal of re-incarnation, a message that our consciousness goes on after the body dies. It represents the archetypal symbolism of death. Death, in the tarot, has a meaning of transformation. The children expressing their current paradigm of a need to transform and to individuate. They are also expressing our current paradigm of involution, which is the present appropriation of the death card in tarot. The control system of government is a mechanism for involution and entropy. Death is the god that is "worshipped" by those in power. Selfishness at all costs and destruction of the other. When we are able to find a way through and nurture our children to become free-thinking and free-spirited, we will create a free world without the current death system. The death card will become a symbol of evolution and new beginnings. What then will the children teach us through their dramatic play? Will "death-play" still bubble up at the frequency it currently does? One way to release the grip, that the death-card has on humanity now, is to read the true fairy tales to our children. The solution is to read fairy tales in all their death and glory.LinksArticle on Death Play from HealGrief.Org:https://healgrief.org/children-death-play-normal/Ordal, Carol C. (1984). • Police Play
    Nov 9 2024
The future leaders of the free world are not getting the bond that they require, from parents, as young children. They then end up in the educational institutions, anchor-less and defiant, looking for a place for themselves to fit in. They know that conforming to the classroom indoctrination system is wrong, yet they don't know who they are or where they belong. They don't have a better option in mind. They need this system to feed off, because of their lack of familial bonding. They become the bullies and eventually the criminal, the police, the politician. Ultimately, the rebellious and abandoned young, become enforcers of the slave-system because the system made them direct their rebellious nature against themselves.

  • Fairy Tale Food for the Soul
    Nov 2 2024

Continuing to clarify the importance of Fairy Tales, we explore the genealogy of Fairy Tales. Does the origin matter? We discover disputes in the discourse of researchers. As we explore we can reel it back in and recognise that Fairy Tales are deeply profound acts of genius. And whether they are old, ancient, re-written, orally re-counted, Christianised or bastardised... or both(!), they are collections of symbols. The symbolic collections require the knowledge and intuition of the people to understand and decode them. Then, we get to understand and preserve the importance of the messages therein. We get to appreciate the heart, soul, values and efforts of the authors of these tales. They knew the power of the fairy tale and they were driven to encode universal truths into them. They strived to create such powerful art so the story and symbolism would remain eternal just like the laws that are encoded in them.
