  • Season 6 Episode 5: Still Here... Photography, Grief, and the Refusal to Disappear
    Feb 7 2026

What happens when picking up the camera feels heavier than putting it down?

In this episode, Jason Teale talks honestly about grief, winter, and creative paralysis following the death of his brother and a difficult return from Canada. This isn’t a gear episode or a how-to—it’s a raw reflection on showing up when inspiration is gone, using photography as resistance, and refusing to quietly disappear.

From frozen mornings on the Korean coast to the mental grind of loss, this episode is about movement, momentum, and why creating—even imperfectly—matters more than waiting to feel ready.

This is an episode for photographers, artists, educators, and anyone who’s felt blocked, tired, or weighed down—and still got up anyway.

  • Season 6 Episode 4: 2026 — A Better Year, I Hope...
    Jan 25 2026

In the first episode of 2026, I take a hard look back at 2025 and speak honestly about the year that tested me in ways I didn’t expect.

We talk about the work that kept me standing. Teaching photography every Saturday in Ulsan. Watching students struggle, grow, and find their voice. The gallery exhibition that finally took the work off screens and put it on walls. Time spent walking and shooting in Fukuoka. Professional trust regained through projects with Visit Seoul.

And then there’s the part you don’t see online.

The passing of my father in law. The sudden loss of my brother just before Christmas. A flight back to Canada, a quiet holiday, and the reality of grief that doesn’t come with lessons or silver linings.

This episode isn’t about motivation or fresh starts. It’s about endurance. About showing up when nothing feels resolved. About choosing clarity over noise, honesty over trends, and forward motion over empty promises.

    No hype. No reinvention.

Just a conversation about work, loss, photography, and what it means to keep going into 2026.
