Separated from his cousin and pushed forward, he unknowingly entered the Capitol through a window, immediately realized what had happened, and turnedaround to leave. A week later, the FBI showed up at his home, and despite a documented address change, ananti-terrorism unit raided his in-laws’ home in Tennessee—where he had moved with his family—accusing him of being on the run. He was questioned and charged, despite never lingering in the building. His story highlights the personal cost many have endured in the wake of January 6th.

Despite his peaceful conduct, he was later arrested at his job site by the FBI,CIA, and local authorities and charged with trespassing, picketing, and remaining in a restricted building.
