In episode 33, we hear the story of Joshua Colgan, a January6th defendant who went to the Capitol to support President Trump, believing the 2020 election was stolen. A proud American and passionate supporter of the president, he arrived to find a peaceful scene. Welcomed into the Capitol by officers who told him he could take photos but warned against touching anything, he respectfully complied and even exchanged fist bumps with police. Despite his peaceful conduct, he was later arrested at his job site by the FBI,CIA, and local authorities and charged with trespassing, picketing, and remaining in a restricted building.
