 The Picaro Seat is a podcast that explores the lives and experiences of picaros, past and present--with an eye toward the future. The picaro is an underdog, an anti-hero, he is sometimes considered a rascal and a trickster, but he is a survivor. The picaro is repressed by the institutions of empire, but he has learned to use those same sociopolitical instruments to his advantage, by facing devils face-to-face, and always being keen to compromise a minimal amount of his limited integrity. The compelling State machinations have told the picaro, "You may have a part of your Survival and you may have a part of your Integrity, but you will not fully have both"!
