  • Jesus. True Food and True Drink.
    Mar 15 2026

Hello all. I hope you are are well and protecting your peace and joy. Today I spoke about how Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of the Israelites eating the manna that fell from heaven in the dessert after being led out of captivity in Egypt by Moses' leadership. Later on in salvation history, Jesus explains that “His body is true food, and his blood is true drink.” Below I will list the referenced biblical passages to help you gain insight into this mystery. The body, blood, soul, and divinity are truly present in the gift of this miracle for the betterment of man kind.

I recently read another passage I would to share with you now.

Revelation 15:11 “…The Kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah, and he will reign forever and ever.”

God himself has the final word, and the last laugh against our ancient foe, the serpent. God, through his Son, conquered sin and death once and for all by his sacrifice on Golgotha and subsequent Resurrection three days later. Later on His Ascension invites Humanity, if we are willing, into the presence of the Father. Something we should all be ecstatic about. The Gospel, The Good News.

    The Shows Scriptural References:

Exodus 16 - Manna In The Desert

Exodus 17 - Water From The Rock

John 6:35 - Bread of Life Discourse

John 6:47-58 - Bread of Life emphasis on the reality of this Mysterious Divine Craftsmanship

It would be a good to read all of the above mentioned chapters in their entirety. I hopes as it gets warmer, that our faith would enliven our peace, love, and joy. As we stay in hope of our heavenly reward, I pray that the peace of Christ remain with you all.

    Matthew 16:13-20

Jesus meant every word he said to Peter as recorded in St. Matthew's Gospel. I think we should all be familiar with Matthew 16:13-20. It will help to bring hope and clarity to all who are searching for Peace and Union with Abba.

    Any thoughts?

The episode is direct and to the point and deserves further explanation, but you will have to start doing your own studying. These episodes are here to introduce different concepts and inspire to you to do your own prayerful studying. Please do yourself a favor and spend time in scripture, you won't regret it. Start with the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John - where you will find the life and teachings of Jesus), The Psalms, and Proverbs. And if you are just starting, try to do some reading everyday accompanied by prayer. I will be praying for you all, Family, Friend, or Foe. May the peace of Christ be with you every moment of everyday.

I read from The Book of Sirach (Sirach 2:7-9) and Augustine's Confessions. Is Joy Possible in this life? I believe it is, but just because it is possible does not mean arriving there is easy. Perseverance in prayer is essential. What do you think, how can we arrive at everlasting Joy? Take Care - shoot me a message - theoldisnew12@gmail.com

  • The Wedding At Cana
    Feb 18 2025

Hello my friends. I finally made time for another episode of The Old Is New. Today I read the miracle account at The wedding At Cana - John 2:1-12

There is so much to say about this miracle, I mentioned how the transformation of water into wine can represent a transformation from misery to Joy. I do believe that's a fitting comparison.

Something I forgot to mention is that we could compare the wine at the wedding of Cana to the passover meal Christ celebrated with his apostles just prior to entering into his passion. This is where he boldly transformed the wine of the meal into his actual blood under the appearance of wine to give life to the world.

There are always new insights you can gain by studying the Word, so keep it up. You won't be disappointed.

May the Peace of Christ be with you all -
