    • Grieving the Loss of Someone Who's Still Alive; Ambiguous Loss.
      Feb 26 2026

      Send a text

Grief is a very natural yet multi-layered response to loss. Most often, we associate grief with the death of someone we love, but what if the grief you were feeling was from the loss of what used to be, instead? What if that painful feeling of profound grief was due to the fact that the one you love is no longer what they used to be to you due to health or mental issues? We call that "ambiguous loss" and it is every bit as powerful as the death of a loved one, but that person is still living.

Join Dr. Becky and I as we discuss how this season of life can forever change us in ways we never imagined. We can either allow it to consume us, or we can cherish every positive moment we can with those we love while they're still here.

Join Chuck and I as we talk about how it's always a win for everyone when you put your kids' feelings first when navigating a divorce and co-parenting. We've grown so much throughout the last 25 years and feel so blessed to be able to enjoy our girls, grandbaby and son in law as one big extended family.

    • How Co-parenting Can Be A Positive and Loving Experience for Everyone
      Jan 15 2026

      Send us a text

For many years, we've been told that we should either write a book or do a talk about how we found success in co-parenting our girls... well, here you go!

The goal after our divorce was to always put our girls first, no matter what we may have felt towards each other. Fast forward 25 years later and Chuck & I are literally an extension of a beautifully blended family. A family that supports each other, appreciates each other and enjoys what both parents should be able to with their kids; even if we're not together. The girls get the best of both worlds when it comes to having both their parents present for holidays, birthdays, family gatherings, dinners out, recreational outings and on & on. Neither parent has to miss out on special things just because you can't get along.

We hope our story inspires you to work harder at putting any animosity and resentment aside to put your kids' happiness and security first. In the end, what parent wouldn't want that?
