As my recovery story continues, connecting back to update on my journey thus far. As I conclude this leg of my journey into 2 parts, I reflect back on the last several months and share with you on what I leave behind as I continue forward. This episode was meant to come online at an earlier date but I wasn't quite ready to share this part of my story until now.

While on a break between episodes, I wanted to share my support team with you and the importance of having sober support during recovery. Everyone starts their journey with some or no support. Here is what has worked for me so far and my team that helps keep the walls of my house falling off it's foundation.

A goodbye letter to my drug of choice. This was an assignment for my last day of my IOP (Intensive outpatient program) that I shared with my group.

My friends for a reason were those who have supported me in my recovery. At first I was anxious they wouldn't understand; but turns out they were my friends for a reason. In recovery, support is important either it be from friends, support/sober groups. They are there for a reason.

In this episode, I discuss the friends and relationships because of my drug of choice. These "friends" for a season.
