Everything around us feels loud, unstable, and out of control. Nations rage. Systems shake. Fear creeps in quietly—and then takes over. Psalm 46 was written for moments like this. It doesn’t promise a world without chaos. It reveals a God who stands unshaken in the middle of it. Today, we’re opening a psalm that doesn’t soothe anxiety—it confronts it. A psalm that doesn’t tell us to calm down, but commands us to be still and know who is truly in control. If the ground beneath you feels unsteady, this message is for you.

This Sunday we’re stepping into God’s courtroom—not to watch “those people” get judged, but to discover that the one in the defendant’s chair is us. Romans 1–3 rips away every excuse, every comparison, every “I’m not that bad” defense we’ve been hiding behind and exposes the frightening truth: God is not ignoring our sin; He is already responding to it. Before we can rejoice in grace, we have to feel the weight of guilt—and many who feel safest in church may be in the greatest danger. Join us as we ask a sobering question: what if the scariest thing God could do is simply give you what you keep insisting you want?
