It was a Bronze Age civilization lasting from 3300 BCE to 1300 BCE, and in its mature form from 2600 BCE to 1900 BCE. Its major sites are Mohanjodaro, Harappa, Kalibangan. Lothal, Chanhudaru, Dholavira, Banawali, Rakhigarhi, Ganeriwala. Together with ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia, it was one of three early civilisations of the Near East and South Asia, and of the three, the most widespread. Its sites spanned an area from northeast Afghanistan and much of Pakistan to western and northwestern India.

The riots started on 24 October 1989, due to clashes during a religious process. Violence continued for 2 months, affecting the Bhagalpur city and 250 villages around it. Over 1,000 people were killed and 50,000 were displaced as a result of the riots . It was the worst instance of Hindu-Muslim violence in independent India at the time. They planted these cooker bombs in 7 different trains and made them blast at an interval of 2 minutes one after the other. What was the whole story? Which revenge they were taking of and how justice has'nt been done to the victims of these blasts? We have tried to answer it.
