Highway 16 otherwise known as the highway of tears is located between Prince George and Prince Rupert in British Columbia, Canada. This 447 mile stretch of highway has been the scene of hundreds of disappearances and murders of mainly Indigenous girls and women. Many of the victims have never been located or remains located.
Sadly already victimised groups of the community have been systematically failed, with very little action from the people that are supposed to protect them. Although action is being attempted by the government now, its difficult to not think its too little too late!
