Rabbi Pfeffer is also the founding editor of Tzarich Iyun, a unique Hebrew and English language online journal, that seeks to develop an internal haredi conversation about political and social issues. In this podcast, Eli and Rabbi Pfeffer discuss the journal and its goals, as well as a wide range of topics, including haredi civic responsibility, the economic sustainability of full-time Torah study, the haredi relationship with Israeli state and society, education, and recent trends in Israeli politics.

      Tzipi Hotovely is a veteran of Israeli politics, serving in a number of cabinet positions and representing the perspective of the National Religious community within the Likud Party. Her appointment as ambassador to the United Kingdom in the summer of 2020, however, was seen as controversial and criticized by some in the UK Jewish community. In her first opportunity to engage directly with the UK Charedi community, Hotovely and Eli Spitzer discuss the role of Charedim in Israeli society, theState of Israel's relationship with Charedim in the diaspora, and her experience to date working in the UK.

      Rav Shraga Feivel Zimmerman is one of the most distinguished and respected Rabbis within the UK Jewish community, having served for a decade as the Rav of Gateshead and now as Av Beis Din of the Federation of Synagogues. In his first ever podcast appearance, Rabbi Zimmerman addresses the furore that has erupted over the Federation's announcement that women who pursue criminal prosecutions against husbands that refuse to give them get (Jewish bill of divorce) will in so doing make any get procured invalid. In the interview, Rabbi Zimmerman is given the opportunity to explain the situation, the position of the Federation, and the possibilities for productive legislation. Topics include the nature of divorce in Jewish law, the ability of Rabbis to change Jewish law, and how best to deal with get refusers.
