  • AEW All Out – Review
    Sep 9 2020
Apps & Paper provide an update on the podcast and review AEW’s latest PPV. All Out was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by All Elite Wrestling (AEW). It took place on September 5, 2020 at Daily's Place in Jacksonville, Florida. It was the second event in the All-Out chronology. The event was originally slated to take place in the Sears Center, in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, just like the previous edition of All Out were held. Illinois Governor J. B. Pritzker issued a disaster proclamation, the state's equivalent to a state of emergency, since March 9, which banned large public gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic that affected the state. Instead, the event was moved to Daily's Place, where all of AEW's events have been held since March. Eleven matches were contested at the event, including two on The Buy In pre-show. In the main event, Jon Moxley defeated MJF to retain the AEW World Championship. In other prominent matches, Orange Cassidy defeated Chris Jericho in a Mimosa Mayhem match, FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) defeated Kenny Omega and Adam Page to win the AEW World Tag Team Championship, and Hikaru Shida defeated Thunder Rosa to retain the AEW Women's World Championship.

Apps and Paper present THE GREATEST REVIEW EVER of THE GREATEST WRESTLING MATCH EVER and the rest of the WWE Backlash card. Paper also shares some of his Spanish language skills. A fun show as always so check it out! Backlash was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) and WWE Network event produced by WWE for their Raw and SmackDown brand divisions. It was broadcast on June 14, 2020 with all the matches taking place at the WWE Performance Centre in Orlando, Florida. While the majority of the event aired live, the match between Edge and Randy Orton was pre-recorded on June 7. It was the fifteenth event in the Backlash chronology. The event was originally scheduled to take place in Kansas City, Missouri; however, the event had to be moved due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Like WWE's other shows since mid-March, Backlash was moved to the WWE Performance Centre in Orlando, Florida, though unlike the previous shows, Backlash was not announced until after the start of the pandemic, which made it WWE's first PPV event to be announced during the pandemic. Seven matches were contested at the event, including one on the Kick-off pre-show. In the main event, Randy Orton defeated Edge in what WWE billed as "The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever". In other prominent matches, Drew McIntyre defeated Bobby Lashley to retain the WWE Championship, Braun Strowman defeated The Miz and John Morrison in a Handicap match to retain the Universal Championship, and Sheamus defeated Jeff Hardy. May 29 2020
Apps and Paper sit down to assess AEW’s first PPV of the COVID-19 era. Double or Nothing was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by All Elite Wrestling (AEW). The event took place on May 23, 2020 at Daily's Place and TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville, Florida. The event was originally scheduled to take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Paradise, Nevada. The venue, however, cancelled all events up through May 31 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. • WWF Royal Rumble 1992
    May 22 2020
Apps and Paper turn back the clock again! This time it is WWF Royal Rumble 1992 which is seen in some circles as the greatest Royal Rumble of all time. Royal Rumble (1992) was the fifth annual Royal Rumble professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE). It took place on January 19, 1992, at the Knickerbocker Arena in Albany, New York. The main event, as in past Royal Rumble events, was the event's namesake match. It is historic because for the first time in the WWF, the last man standing would win the WWF World Heavyweight Championship, which had been vacated in December 1991. This man was Ric Flair, who eliminated Sid Justice with the help of Hulk Hogan from the outside. Featured matches on the undercard were The Natural Disasters (Earthquake and Typhoon) versus The Legion of Doom (Hawk and Animal) for the WWF Tag Team Championship, The Beverly Brothers (Blake Beverly and Beau Beverly) versus The Bushwhackers (Bushwhacker Luke and Bushwhacker Butch) and Roddy Piper versus The Mountie for the WWF Intercontinental Heavyweight Championship.
