  • Canadian country music star Paul Brandt's crusade against child-trafficking
    Apr 30 2026

When most people hear the words human trafficking, they often picture something happening overseas. But the reality is far different. Police say more than 4,500 human trafficking cases were reported in Canada over a ten-year period. Many are young women and girls who are groomed through trust, manipulation and coercion. This week, Montreal is hosting a major summit bringing together police, prosecutors and advocates from across Canada and the U.K. to share strategies to combat trafficking. One of the people leading that conversation is Canadian country star and anti-trafficking advocate Paul Brandt, founder of #NotInMyCity. He spoke to Andrew Carter.
