Have you ever felt like something that once fit… no longer does?

Like you’ve grown, your vision has expanded, and you know you can’t keep doing things the same way—even if they were good?

That’s exactly what this episode is about.

After much reflection, I’m sharing a personal update and closing this chapter of the Academic Revolution Podcast.

This podcast has been about helping academic physicians build meaningful, successful careers without sacrificing their personal lives—and that mission hasn’t changed.

But over time, I’ve felt increasingly led to integrate faith and medicine more intentionally into these conversations. Because many of the challenges we face in medicine aren’t just strategic… they’re deeper—touching identity, purpose, and what truly sustains us.

And there’s very little space in medicine to explore that in a meaningful, grounded way.

So rather than splitting these conversations across different spaces, I’m going all in on my other podcast:

    👉 The Christian Physician Podcast

Over there, we’ll continue talking about leadership, career growth, and sustainable success, while also exploring how faith, purpose, and spiritual growth shape the way we practice medicine and care for our patients as whole persons.

If that resonates with you, I’d love for you to join me there.

And if it doesn’t—that’s okay too. I’m truly grateful you’ve been part of this journey.

Still Want Support in Your Academic Career?

  • 82. How Academic Physicians Can Start the Week with Intention—Not Stress
    Aug 14 2025

    Send us a text

Are you an academic physician who starts Monday with big plans—only to end Friday wondering where the time went? If your week keeps running you instead of the other way around, it’s time for a simple reset strategy that actually works.

In this episode of The Academic Revolution Podcast, I’m showing you how to start your week with intention—so you can lead it instead of just surviving it.

You’ll discover the 4-step reset strategy I teach my coaching clients to shift from reaction mode to purposeful progress:

    1. Make a clear plan – Block time for professional goals, personal priorities, and non-negotiable boundaries.
    2. Preview your week – Anticipate challenges so nothing blindsides you.
    3. Set your weekly intention – Anchor your energy on what excites you and visualize your Friday wins.
    4. Identify cautions & triggers – Stay ahead of distractions, emotional drama, and unexpected roadblocks.

When you lead your week with clarity, you protect your mental energy, move your most important projects forward, and finish Fridays feeling accomplished.
