I have a confession. I have struggled with the phrase, Rest is Resistance. And it’s not about semantics. While I applaud and understand the intention behind the phrase, it didn’t feel naturally adaptable for me.

So I sat with it, contemplated and then revelation came. Could rest be more than resistance for us? Take a listen to this episode. Be well. Be inspired!

A lot of folks started reshaping their language around religion once it appeared to be demonizing, manipulative, and judgmental.

Some believers have opted to claim relationship over religion in a soft attempt to help others understand their walk of faith with God. Religion was abandoned, and relationship was favored.

I overstand both. As a church girl, I’ve been on both sides of the argument and the choice to claim relationship over religion, but one day God challenged me to look at it deeper. After careful study, a revisit to scripture, and my experience being a follower of Christ, I believe both are necessary.

In this episode, I explain why it doesn’t have to be an either-or but rather a both-and.

Religion doesn’t have to be a dirty word.
