  • Power, Potential, Peril - the 3 Ps of AI with Patrick Hickey
    Mar 18 2026

As the technology continues to speed past our comprehension, how can we as educators use it to support our students, while also teaching them use to use it responsibly? Patrick Hickey (@aiteachingguru) returns to That'll Teach You to discuss his own experiences with AI over the last year, as well as laying out what the Government has, and, more importantly, has not, provided in terms of guidelines around AI.

  • Is Society Failing Our Neurodivergent Children? with Ciara Reilly
    Mar 11 2026

Why are autistic children receiving less support than they would have 20 years ago, despite our vastly improved knowledge of the area? Why are special education teachers not receiving training before they begin working with our most vulnerable children? What can be done to help support our neurodivergent children, their parents and their teachers?

The inimitable Ciara Reilly is back on That'll Teach You this week to answer these questions and more. Ciara shares her own experiences as both a mother and a teacher, and, as always, is not afraid to ask the hard questions and tell some home truths.

  • The Power of Verse Novels with Sarah Crossan
    Mar 4 2026

Is it a poem? Is it a novel? Can't it be both? Award-winning author Sarah Crossan is here to talk about writing for young people, writing in verse, and even how verse novels might just be able to provide some of that dopamine hit that social media does, only without all the bad bits! Sarah's verse novels, including Moonrise, One and Toffee, can undoubtedly be a way into reading for young people (and adults) who might struggle to access more traditional literature. Sarah's writing addresses so many important topics facing society, and listening to her talk about her process was definitely a fangirl/boy moment for us both.

  • Save Our SNAs! with Oneesa and Samantha
    Feb 25 2026

It's very simple. Schools cannot function without SNAs. As the Government stumbles around the issue of SNA cuts, we are joined by SNAs Oneesa and Samantha to explain what has been happening over the last couple of weeks. We also look at the broader problems - why the role of the SNA needs to be redefined, why SNAs need new contracts and, most importantly, why the lack of respect and understanding around what SNAs do can lead to catastrophic results for all children in our schools, whether or not they receive SNA support.

Please follow Oneesa (@sna_support_and_inspire) and Samantha (@samanthaofl_) to see the important work they are doing.
