 Founder of Awaken Your Lioness Spirit, Terry deAragon was inspired to create change while serving on a prison ministry. After hearing from women forced back into harsh environments and past cycles due to the lack of affordable housing, she has set out to empower these woman to break generational curses and help restore and enable future generations.

Terry draws strength from the trauma and adversity she has overcome to get her where she is today, including physical, emotional abuse and mental illness, addictions and divorce within her personal and family circle.

She is a proud beacon of hope for two uncles serving long-term prison sentences, a cousin nearing his transition back into society, a pair of cousins who lost their battle to addiction at a young age, and an aunt residing at a local women’s home where she’ll spend the next year rehabilitating from substance abuse and embarking on an emotional and spiritual journey of growth.

While on her own journey of emotional and spiritual healing in 2015, Terry experienced an encounter with Jesus and His Holy Spirit, which changed her life forever! Today, she honors God by sharing Jesus’ mercy, grace and abundant love with women who have experienced similar trials and tribulations.

She believes that you aren’t defined by what has happened to you in life, but rather you’re born on purpose with a purpose, and our testimonies are birthed from the oppression and persecution God has brought us through!

Through Awaken Your Lioness Spirit, Terry hopes to leave her legacy, break down walls and generation curses, and set up a better, healthier future for her sons Jacob, Joshua, Darrien, David Jr. and four beautiful grand children.
