I am finally doing a spotlight episode on a woman that did amazing work with advocacy in ovarian cancer and was just a really great lady who, like all who have died from ovarian cancer, died too soon.

I know there was so much about her than what I have shared; however, I hope what I have shared shows you how amazing she was... as a human being and as an advocate for ovarian cancer awareness -- that expanded beyond her residency of Newfoundland, Canada.

Without a doubt, Susan's legacy lives on.

Here's to a new year, y'all! New year with many new chapters that I pray are filled with laughter, joy, and good health! 🙏🏽

I'm actually talking about things I have yet to do BUT will be doing soon and that's having a medical power of attorney (MPOA) and a power of attorney (POA) as well as having a will and testament. Not to forget life insurance! Why? Well, because this silly gal has never done any of those things and that's not good. It's not fun talking about death but death comes to us all so why not have stuff put in place for when that day comes. Ya know?

This episode is not to disparage (in any way whatsoever) breast cancer awareness. I'd never do that! While at the same time I can acknowledge October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month AND point out that there are other cancers out there and ALL are important.

Breast cancer changed the game, so to speak, with bringing out much needed awareness. And that is a wonderful feat; however, wouldn't it be great if ALL cancers got the same awareness as breast cancer?

For ONE life lost to cancer is ONE TOO MANY, no?

Welcome to another episode!

Animals are amazing! My cat, my daughter, my baby, the love of my life is truly my emotional support animal, and I do believe it would have been so much harder to go through cancer without her. I am sure there are a lot of cancer patients/survivors who feel the same. Along with all those that have gone / go through things where animals, well, just make it a little easier to get by. 💓

The other topic is about how things have gotten better with treatment for ovarian cancer. There are more women surviving as it's more and more a chronic disease. And though there is more ovarian cancer awareness today than over a decade ago, more is still needed. I'm happy to help with that!
