In this 77th Republic Dayof Bharat episode, I reflect on growing up across India as a fauji kid or a soldier's daughter. Moving from state to state, absorbing cultures, languages, and values that shaped my identity.

I also share how my second home in America taught me to embrace change with an open heart. This is a story of origins and evolution, of unity in diversity, and of learning to belong to two places at once.

I am proud of where I come from, and grateful for where life has taken me and this episode is my tribute to both.

Today, 23rd of January is the day when I celebrate my all time favourite action Hero, I mean the fearless Freedom fighter Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.

The year 2024 had been quite a tough year on me as I was watching my mother going through pain and yet keeping her winning smile treasured. All this while she was battling the suddenly discovered cancerous growth in her body.

The diagnosis was like a calamity that fell upon our family. Over the 8 weeks since the day of her diagnosis till her last breath, I enjoyed the best and worst journeys of my life with my mother.

I started a vlog to record her presence for everyday she was with us. This is the 8th episode I gathered all my courage to share with the world.

My mother's smiling at us made me realize that it was her unconditional love for her children and everyone in her life which is making me go on with life today.

I will always love my mother just like she did it forever!

Fans, friends and family, everyone says that I must move on! But how does one move on when time seems to have stopped with the departure of the source of one's life and in my case, it is my mom.

Failures are as normal as achieving success. It is the lessons learned and the experiences earned in a failure what makes us the person who we truly want to be.

Some days when I feel lost in my thoughts about coping with the loss of my beloved mother, at the time of despair I find standing by me are the loved ones with their hearts full of love and compassion to heal me.

Sticking together with family and other loved ones is perhaps the only way the wound afflicted by the grief of a loss can heal.

The once in a lifetime opportunity to become an Indian Air Force pilot was my dream but I failed. Thanks to the lesson of moving on in life, I learned from these failures makes it a winning for me.

We can give a new meaning to our celebration of Diwali the Festival of Lights!
