As a very young child, TAMEEKA admired and enjoyed watching and hearing her mother read to her. Sometimes, TAMEEKA'S mother would tell her many stories without even opening up a book. However, TAMEEKA loved the sound of the turning pages. But she noticed early on in life, that when her mother was turning the pages of the BIBLE, the turning pages has a pleasant and more sweeter sound than the turning of pages in other books.

ELLA RUTH STEVENS in which we honor, revere, and created a scholarship in honor of her name. Of course, MRS. STEVENS was an avid reading. The kind of reader that was rarely seen without a book, and would read a book in one sitting.

Today, TAMEEKA is a collector of books, especially the "old book." Her book collection (close to 1,000 books) is not all about the BIBLE, but about 95% of her books are BIBLE focused. TAMEEKA learns all that she can about the BIBLES and its contents.

TAMEEKA'S husband (DR. FERMAN) started shipping BIBLES from prison in 1994, and since they met and married, together they have sent forth countless of BIBLES.

After the reading of PSALM 119, TAMEEKA announces the winners of the 2025 ELLA RUTH STEVENS 504 SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS.
