  • Jessica Lunsford murdered
    Jan 17 2024

This week, our discussion will revolve around the abduction and killing of Jessica Lunsford. This particular case is truly disturbing and arguably one of the most tragic instances I have encountered. However, it did lead to the state of Florida reviewing their legislation regarding sex offenders, prompting 19 other states to do the same shortly thereafter.

  • Cultural Genocide
    Dec 20 2023

For over a century, Indigenous children were forcibly separated from their families and communities to attend these government-funded, church-run institutions. The impact of this policy was devastating, as children were stripped of their language, culture, and identity, as well as being subjected to physical, emotional, and sexual abuse. The scars of this cultural erasure still linger in Indigenous communities today.

Examining the disturbing legacy of the Residential Schools is essential for understanding the breadth of the cultural genocide perpetrated against Indigenous people. By uncovering the truth, we can contribute to the ongoing efforts of healing, reconciliation, and decolonization. This article aims to shed light on the historical context, the stories of survivors, and the ongoing impacts of Canada's Residential Schools. Through this exploration, we hope to foster awareness, empathy, and understanding regarding the resilience and strength of Indigenous peoples and their fight for justice and cultural revival.

  • Kozee Decorah, Ashlea Aldrich and Lenice Blackbird
    Dec 13 2023

In a tragic sequence of events that has sent shockwaves through the Omaha region, three Native American women have been brutally murdered. The victims, Kozee Decorah, Lenice Blackbird, and Ashlea Aldrich, were beloved members of their communities, their lives cut short in acts of unfathomable violence.

The murders have sparked outrage and raised important questions about the safety and protection of Native American women, who are disproportionately affected by violence. As the investigations into these heinous crimes unfold, it's crucial to shed light on the systemic issues that perpetuate such tragedies.

These women were more than just victims - they had dreams, aspirations, and a deep-rooted connection to their culture. They were integral parts of their families and communities, and their loss has left a void that can never be filled.

  • Missing Rosalita Faye Longee
    Dec 13 2023

Rosalita Faye Longee, a Native American woman, was officially declared missing in June of 2015 and has had no contact with her family or friends since that time. However, the situation surrounding her disappearance is far more complex than just the vanishing of one person. It is merely one example among many similar cases that have taken place within the Yakama community, which primarily consists of indigenous and rural residents in Washington.

The circumstances surrounding Rosalita Faye Longee's disappearance are shrouded in mystery, leaving her loved ones desperate for answers. Despite extensive efforts by law enforcement and the community to locate her, she remains missing without any solid leads or evidence to explain her sudden absence.

Sadly, the case of Rosalita Faye Longee is not an isolated incident within the Yakama community. Numerous other individuals have also gone missing under similar circumstances, raising concerns about the safety and well-being of indigenous and rural residents in this region. The lack of resolution in these cases has left families and friends emotionally devastated, struggling to cope with the uncertainty surrounding their loved ones' whereabouts.

  • Lacreeshaw Jumping Eagle Richards & Mackenzie Antelope
    Nov 18 2023

Lacreeshaw Jumping Eagle Richards and Mackenzie Antelope's cases are two that are way too familiar in Native Communities.

Their cases aren't that old.  These cases show the systemic racial indifferences suffered by Indigenous people not only in America but also in Canada.  Indigenous people in the US. and in Canada are continuously overlooked by their governments, local police and the media.

Absolutely NOTHING is being done to find these two kids.  There is literally zero information on them.

Please listen.  Do what you can to help support this show.

    Thank You.
