  • Dear Church: Complacency Kills
    Sep 3 2025

    Dear Church: Complacency Kills

Complacency isn’t harmless... it spreads, numbs, and kills.

In this episode of the Dear Church series, Dillon Kimmel delivers a wake-up call to leaders and believers alike: comfort, compromise, and silence are choking out the mission of Christ.

From pulpits that trade conviction for popularity to pews that trade holiness for ease, complacency threatens the very witness of the church. Scripture warns us that lukewarm faith is deadly (Revelation 3), but conviction revives.

This isn’t finger-pointing, it’s an invitation. An invitation to return to the Word, reclaim what God has already defined, and walk boldly in the mission we’ve been given.

If you’re ready for more than surface-level faith, join the conversation. Truth still stands.

  • Dear Church: Confronting Church Apathy
    Aug 25 2025

Dear Church… the truth still stands.

In this first episode of the Dear Church series, we confront the drift, compromise, and apathy that have crept into the body of Christ. The church was never meant to trade conviction for convenience, holiness for hype, or mission for maintenance. Yet today, too often we look alive but are spiritually asleep.

This isn’t finger-pointing, it’s a wake-up call. A call to pastors to lead with conviction, not compromise. A call to believers to walk in bold obedience, not half-hearted faith. A call to the church to remember who we are: the living, breathing movement of God on earth.

📖 “Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” – Ephesians 5:14

We’ll look at Israel’s history of drift, the warnings of the prophets, Jesus’ rebukes in Revelation, and how those same dangers show up in today’s church. But we’ll also remember the promise: Christ is still the head of the church, the Spirit still empowers, the gospel still saves, and the mission still matters.

The truth still stands. The question is...will we?

Episode 2 – The God Who Speaks: Why Creation Still Confronts Culture

    • Why His design confronts modern confusion around identity, truth, and purpose

  • Job The Final Chapter: Restoration That Carries Scars
    May 27 2025

Job 42 isn’t a fairytale ending...it’s a holy one. In this episode, we explore what real restoration looks like through the story of Job. Not a reset, but a resurrection. Not erasing the pain, but walking forward with scars that speak of both suffering and grace.

Join host Dillon Kimmel as he unpacks the final chapter of Job’s story, connecting it to our own seasons of loss, waiting, and unexpected healing. With Scripture, storytelling, and raw honesty, this episode challenges shallow hope and replaces it with gritty faith rooted in resurrection.

We’ll talk Job, Jesus, and the kind of hope that doesn’t deny the night but rises with the morning.

    Scripture Featured:
    Job 42, Psalm 30:5, Ecclesiastes 3:4, John 20:27, Lamentations 3:22–23, Isaiah 55:9, Romans 5:3–5, Romans 8:28, Revelation 21:4

    Key Themes:
    • Restoration through scars
    • Real hope vs. shallow optimism

  • Part 4: The Pain of Misapplied Truth (Job 15–31)
    May 15 2025

When truth is used like a weapon, it wounds deeper than silence. In this episode, we step into the thick of Job’s suffering—where the speeches of Eliphaz, Bildad, and Zophar twist theology into accusation and leave Job gasping for something real. Their formula was simple: righteousness equals blessing, sin equals suffering. But Job’s life didn’t fit their system.

We explore what happens when clichés replace compassion, and how even biblical truths—misapplied and mistimed—can do damage. From empty phrases like “everything happens for a reason” to the quiet betrayals of fair-weather friends, this episode pulls no punches.

Suffering isn’t a puzzle to solve—it’s a furnace to endure. And Job shows us that worship sometimes sounds like a groan, not a hymn.

This is a call to sit with the hurting, not fix them. To let silence be sacred. To trust that when the answers don’t come, God’s presence is still enough.

If you’ve ever been wounded by well-meaning advice or left alone in the ashes, this one’s for you.
