    Jun 25 2025

Billi (@SGPSoccer) breaks down all of the final Group E and F group stage matches. Group E looks to be one of the most interestingly poised groups going into the final round of games.

The winner of Inter and River Plate will advance to the knockout stages as section group winners and, while a draw could be enough for the pair, it is of no guarantee with victory for Monterrey over eliminated Urawa Red Diamonds will also take them to five points and cause a 3-way points tie at the top.

Billi (@SGPSoccer) breaks down all of the Group C and D matches for the final matches of the group stage.

Back-to-back wins over Boca Juniors and part-timers Auckland City have secured passage through to the knockout stages for Bayern Munich, but they will want to wrap up top spot in their group with a win over fellow Europeans Benfica tonight. This could set up a potential Round of 16 clash against Chelsea, who will need a point tonight against Esperance from tonight’s later kick offs to qualify.

    Jun 23 2025

Billi (@SGPSoccer) breaks down all of the Group A and B matches for the final matches of the group stage, with two European sides— Atletico Madrid and Porto, on the brink of an early exit.

FIFA and their sponsors would have been delighted to see the likelihood of Lionel Messi playing past the group stages boosted massively by Inter Miami’s 2-1 win over Porto in their second game, meaning the Argentinian’s side now only need a point to progress into the knockout stages.

    Jun 20 2025

Billi (@SGPSoccer) breaks down the second set of Matchday 2 contests, all taking place on Saturday and Sunday. Sunday will see pre-tournament favourites Real Madrid return to action against Mexico’s Pachuca. Xabi Alonso got off to a shaky start as the new Real Madrid Manager, as his club drew their Club World Cup opener 1-1 against Al Hilal. The Spanish giants struggled to convert their chances, while they also looked vulnerable at the other end.

    Jun 19 2025

Billi (@SGPSoccer) breaks down the first set of Matchday 2 contests, all taking place on Thursday and Friday. Friday will see PSG return to action off the back of their 4-0 demolition job won over Atletico.

PSG head into their next match against Botafogo having scored nine unanswered goals across their clashes with Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid, two of Europe’s most heralded defences. That’s ominous for the rest of the field in the Club World Cup, with the European champions displaying little fatigue despite their long campaign.

    Jun 18 2025

Billi (@SGPSoccer) breaks down the final four Matchday 1 contests, all taking place on Wednesday, which will see Manchester City and Real Madrid opening up their respective tournaments.

Real Madrid get set for a new chapter under manager Xabi Alonso, who was appointed from Bayer Leverkusen as Carlo Ancelotti’s successor, and they will be expected to make a winning start to Group H against big-spending Saudi side Al Hillal. While there could potentially be some teething problems in Alonso’s first competitive game in charge, the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior should still see them come out on top.

    Jun 14 2025

Billi (@SGPSoccer) breaks down all of the FIFA Club World Cup matches happening on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. The opening game of the FIFA Club World Cup takes place this evening, as Egyptian champions Al Ahly take on Leo Messi’s Inter Miami.

Sunday will see Paris St-Germain partake in their first match since inflicting a 5-0 hiding on Inter Milan in the Champions League final. They’ll be hoping that their Club World Cup campaign can get off to a flyer with victory over chief Group B rivals Atletico Madrid— in what many feel is the biggest game of the group stage phase. The Parisians impressed with their energy and intensity throughout their Champions League campaign, which also featured knockout stage victories over Premier League outfits Liverpool, Aston Villa and Arsenal. Many fancy them to add this FIFA Club World Cup to their trophy cabinet.
