Of all the truth that I have ever spoken most of it is through poems. I started writing poems as a teenager in Khambhalia–as I didn’t know what to do with all that I was feeling. Poems are my catharsis. I have been working as a journalist in Gujarat for a decade. While I was writing stories of other people, my stories remained unwritten. With this podcast, I pay homage to experiences, and people–real and fictional–who inspired me to write these stories.
Janvi Sonaiya | Journalist
Journalism is sacred to me. I have worked with The Times Group, Divya Bhaskar, DNA newspaper, and currently I’m an editor with a digital media portal Vibes of India. Investigative copies with my byline have been quoted by The Wire, CNN, Al Jazeera, NBC News and other publications.
The formal graduation in management has come in good stead. When I quit a corporate job with Tata Consultancy Services, little did I know, that the business of news is the most challenging. It is an ever-changing hour with the only constant being truth. Truth and goodness have been my companions in this journey just begun.
