  • Stepping Into A New Season
    Dec 16 2025

    Hi everyone

I wanted to take a moment today to share something with you directly. She Has The Audacity has had such an incredible year — the conversations, the connection, the depth we've explored together… it truly means more to me than I can say.

And as someone who believes deeply in intentional leadership — in aligning how we work with how we want to live — I'm practicing what I teach.

So, I'm pressing pause for a short while.

Not because anything is ending but because we are in the process of building and growing. There are some exciting shifts happening behind the scenes — new voices to bring in, new conversations to explore, new ways to support you as you design what's next in your life and leadership.

This break is a moment to reflect, refine, and build something even more aligned with the mission of this show: To create a space where women can tell the truth, lead with purpose, and choose what feels real — not just what looks impressive.

I'll be back with fresh episodes in the new year. In the meantime, if you're new here or catching up, this is a perfect moment to revisit past conversations that resonated — or discover the ones you haven't heard yet.

Thank you for being here. Thank you for giving me the space to grow and the support. Thank you for listening, reflecting, and showing up for these deeper conversations — for supporting our community and for supporting yourselves.

I can't wait to share what's coming next.

  • Rest as a Vital Sign: Women's Sleep, Hormones, and the Nervous System with Dr. Leigha Saunders [REPLAY]
    Nov 25 2025

Rest isn't a luxury to earn, it's a biological need that tells the truth about how we're living.

In this episode of She Has The Audacity, I sit down with Dr. Leigha Saunders, naturopathic doctor, sleep expert, and founder of The Sleep Fix, for a conversation about what our sleep is really trying to tell us.

Through her own postpartum experience and years of clinical practice, Leigha has seen how exhaustion isn't a sign of weakness, but information, a reflection of nervous system overload, hormone shifts, and the invisible weight of responsibility women carry. Her work reframes rest as a form of self-leadership: the foundation for clarity, health, and purpose.

Together, we explore how to rebuild a relationship with rest in every season of life, from PMS to postpartum to perimenopause, and what changes when we start treating sleep as a signal, not a symptom.

Here's what you'll take away from this episode: ✨ Why sleep is a mirror for the nervous system — and a vital sign of wellbeing ✨ How hormonal transitions shape our rhythms, energy, and emotional capacity ✨ The mental load's role in restlessness, anxiety, and 3 a.m. wake-ups ✨ Why sleep "hacks" and supplements only go so far without alignment ✨ How self-trust, boundaries, and nourishment restore deep rest ✨ Practical tools for understanding — and honouring — your body's cues

This is a conversation about coming home to your body. About redefining productivity as presence, and remembering that rest isn't what you step away from — it's what allows you to return to yourself.

  • Uplevelling the Status Quo of Healing: A Biopsychosocial Approach to Care with Carolyn Vandyken
    Nov 18 2025

What if meaningful healing isn't about fixing what's "wrong," but about understanding the full human experience behind pain?

In this episode of She Has The Audacity, I sit down with Carolyn Vandyken—physiotherapist, educator, speaker, and co-owner of Reframe Rehab—for a conversation that reimagines how we approach pain, healing, and healthcare.

Carolyn has been a leader in advancing the biopsychosocial model of care, bringing together the physical, emotional, and social realities that shape our well-being. Through her own evolution as a clinician, she has learned that treating the body alone is not enough — and that empowering the nervous system, behavior change, and self-trust are essential to lasting recovery.

Together, we explore why physiotherapy and healthcare must move beyond "fixing," how language can either take away or restore hope, and why curiosity may be the most powerful clinical tool we have.

Here's what you'll take away from this episode: ✨ What the biopsychosocial model actually looks like in practice ✨ How understanding the nervous system shifts outcomes for patients in pain ✨ Why hope, communication, and compassion are clinical interventions ✨ How pelvic health, musculoskeletal care, and pain science are deeply connected ✨ The mindset shift from treating tissues → facilitating transformation ✨ Why slowing down and trusting curiosity makes us better clinicians and humans

This conversation is an invitation to see care differently — not as doing something to someone, but as creating the conditions that allow them to heal.

  • Design Your Life: Resilience, Pattern‑Breaking & Intentional Growth with Dr. Stacy Thomas [REPLAY]
    Nov 11 2025

Not every turning point announces itself. Sometimes it's a quiet decision to close one door—so a truer one can open.

In this episode of She Has The Audacity, I sit down with Dr. Stacy Thomas—clinical psychologist, speaker, and founder of the Design Your Life Centre—for a conversation about designing a life from the inside out: breaking unhelpful patterns, trusting what you know, and building practices that support who you're here to become.

Stacy shares how her path shifted from a corporatized health system to a values‑driven practice, why fertility counseling became an unexpected entry point to deeper work, and how she integrates CBT, mindfulness, high‑performance skills, and clinical hypnosis in service of resilience. We talk about pain as a teacher, the difference between intentions and goals, and what changes when you stop being a tourist in your life—and become the traveler.

This is a conversation about alignment over obligation, about choosing presence instead of perfection, and about creating structures that help you keep showing up as your authentic self.

Here's what you'll take away from this episode: ✨ The moment Stacy chose to close a familiar door—and what clarity followed

✨ Why fertility counseling became a catalyst

In this episode of She Has The Audacity, I sit down with Monica Gold—entrepreneur, creator, and founder of Find Your Fierce and Go Laser—for a conversation about evolving careers, shifting business models, and giving yourself permission to build a life that fits who you are now.

Monica built a powerful global community through dance. And then—at a moment when success seemed to demand expansion—she chose to close the doors and redefine her direction. We talk about the emotions of stepping away from something beloved, the courage required to choose differently, and what it looks like to create from alignment instead of obligation.

  • The Art of Empathy with Kim Smiley [REPLAY]
    Oct 28 2025

Empathy begins as a feeling—but becomes powerful when we let it guide what we create and how we lead.

In this episode of She Has The Audacity, I sit down with Kim Smiley—artist, designer, and founder of The Empathy Effect—for a conversation about building from intuition, leading with compassion, and creating a business that feels as human as it is impactful.

Kim shares how her path unfolded from nonprofit leadership to wearable art, and how trusting her quiet instincts led to the creation of a movement centered on empathy, artistry, and inclusion. We talk about what happens when you choose to listen inwardly, even when logic tells you otherwise—and how empathy, when practiced daily, becomes a radical act of courage and connection.

This is a conversation about trusting your inner knowing, about weaving values into your work, and about letting empathy be both your compass and your craft.

  • Pleasure, Worth, and Rewriting the Script: Unpacking the Layers of Low Desire with Dr. Jordin Wiggins [REPLAY]
    Oct 21 2025

We tend to equate vitality with energy, connection, and desire—but when those begin to fade, it can leave us questioning where our sense of aliveness has gone. Many women are left without the language—or the support—to understand why. What's often dismissed as a hormone issue or "just stress" can point to something deeper: disconnection from self, unspoken shame, and internalized beliefs that prioritize performance over pleasure.

In this episode of She Has The Audacity, I sit down with Dr. Jordin Wiggins—naturopathic doctor, sexual health disruptor, and author of The Pink Canary—for an honest, layered conversation about libido, stress, worthiness, and what it takes to rebuild a relationship with desire on your own terms.

Jordin shares the experiences that shaped her approach to women's sexual health, including her own journey through pain, perfectionism, and burnout. We talk about how over-functioning shows up in intimacy, why desire can be hard to access even when everything "looks fine," and the ways community care can shift the stories we carry.

This is not a conversation about quick fixes. It's about naming what's real, unpacking what's been inherited, and choosing a new kind of relationship with your body, your needs, and your voice.

Here's what you'll take away from this episode: ✨ Why libido doesn't always improve when the "physiology" is addressed ✨ How shame and silence shape women's experiences with sex and pleasure ✨ What Anhedonia can teach us about burnout and numbness ✨ The role of communication—in and out of the bedroom—in building trust and safety ✨ How worthiness impacts a woman's ability to ask for, receive, and enjoy pleasure ✨ What shifts when we stop fixing and start listening to what's actually true

If you've ever wondered where your spark went—or if you're craving more depth in your relationship with your body and your desires—this episode will meet you there.
