This is well said, for I am. 14 So if I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one anothers feet. 15 For I have given you an example that you also should do just as I have done for you. 16 I assure you: A servant is not greater than his master, and a messenger is not greater than the one who sent him. Matthew 20:25-28 - But Jesus called them over and said, You know that the rulers of the Gentiles dominate them, and the men of high position exercise power over them. 26 It must not be like that among you. On the contrary, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, 27 and whoever wants to be first among you must be your slave; 28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His lifea ransom for many. John 14:1314 - Whatever you ask in My name, I will do it so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it. John 15:16 - I appointed you that you should go out and produce fruit and that your fruit should remain, so that whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you. DOES OUR ASKING... ...BRING GOD GLORY OR US COMFORT? ...ALIGN WITH GODS WILL OR OUR DESIRES? ...FURTHER GODS KINGDOM OR OUR OWN? ...LEAD TO SHARING SERVING OR KEEP US FROM IT? ...CONSIDER OTHERS OR JUST OURSELVES? JOHNS OUTLINE OF JESUS SERVANT LEADERSHIP : JOHN 13 SHOWS THE SONS POSTURE (THROUGH HUMILITY). JOHN 14:12 SHOWS THE SPIRITS POWER (THROUGH WORKS). JOHN 14:1314 SHOWS THE FATHERS PROVISION (THROUGH PRAYER). JESUS INVITES HIS FOLLOWERS TO SERVE OTHERS WITH A POSTURE OF HUMILITY AND SURRENDER. Romans 8:1417 - 14 All those led by Gods Spirit are Gods sons 16 The Spirit Himself testifies together with our spirit that we are Gods children, 17 and if children, also heirsheirs of God and co-heirs with Christseeing that we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him. WHEN WE YIELD TO GODS WILL, HE WILL CALL US INTO HUMBLE SERVING.
