Episode 1 of Semper Spits!!

My name is Kelli, I'm in my mid 30s, a wife, mom, and a veteran to get my stats out of the way. I served for 7 years in the Marine Corps, 3 tours to Afghanistan at the height of operating enduring freedom.

I’ve seen way too many people struggling with mental health and the resources we have are atrocious. If my stories or guests or resources or even my voice can save one person from self-inflicted death or harm, I’ll call that a win.

This podcast was initially a pipe dream to talk shit. I don’t why, but for some reason I love to talk and figured this was a good start. A few weeks into my journey of trying to figure out my niche, I had a pretty big mental breakdown…. Well maybe a breakthrough and it taught me a lot about myself and my personal healing. This also gave me an outlet to get all of my thoughts on paper and figure out my reasons for staying. My story wasn’t over.
