The party departs the volcanic island aboard their airship, heading toward Nerius Prime. During the journey, they study the Updated World Map given to them by Echo, while Olad Freeye bonds with his direwolf pup, Aurora. Kil'mori remains below deck, obsessively tinkering with a mysterious invention. As they fly past the ruins of the Monastery, they spot a massive refugee camp and decide to land to gather supplies.
At the camp, they meet the stern leader Zahara Linn Tar and secure permission to trade. Olad bargains for lumber and puppy supplies, Echo negotiates for wood with a lavish meal, and Tara takes Kil'Mori's component shopping list. The party splits to explore the bustling market, encountering friendly locals and beginning to gather the resources they need for their ongoing journey into the broken world.
