    • TV Shows Worth Watching: February 2026 (no spoilers)
      Feb 20 2026

We tackle three distinct Apple TV sci-fi series: Pluribus, Vince Gilligan's post-apocalyptic drama about an astronomer's discovery upending society; Severance, the mind-bending thriller following workers with surgically separated work-life memories; and Silo, the dystopian bunker saga where engineer Juliette exposes deadly secrets in a massive underground world.

We break down premises, pacing, twists and themes, praise Apple TV's focus on deep ideas over flash, compare to classics like Black Mirror and The Twilight Zone, and debate why TV excels at thoughtful sci-fi today.

      Fast-forward to hear about:

      01:20: Pluribus – Season 1 (2025)

      13:25: Severance – Season 1 (2022)

      25:05: Silo – Season 1 (2023)

    • Crime, Money and Spies: Mercy (2026), The Rip (2026) & Back in Action (2025)
      Feb 13 2026

We cover two recent releases: Mercy, Timur Bekmambetov’s screen-life thriller with Chris Pratt as a cop racing to prove his innocence to AI judge Rebecca Ferguson; The Rip, Joe Carnahan’s tense crime drama starring Matt Damon and Ben Affleck as Miami detectives hunting cartel cash amid betrayal; and last years Back in Action, Seth Gordon’s Netflix action-comedy with Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz as ex-spies thrust back into danger.

We weigh the pros and cons - Mercy’s gimmicky real-time setup, The Rip’s gripping performances, Back in Action’s predictable formula plus discuss streaming algorithms’ impact on “safe” movies, Affleck/Damon’s trend-bucking clout, and if these deliver on their concepts.

      Fast-forward to hear about:

      01:06: Mercy (2026)

      17:05: The Rip (2026)

23:05: How films are made for Netflix

      32:05: Back in Action (2025)

    • 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple (2026) - blood, gore, and conflict
      Feb 6 2026

Nia DaCosta directs the immediate sequel to last year’s 28 Years Later revival: young survivor Spike roams the infected mainland of Britain, where he’s drawn into a charismatic but dangerous cult-like gang led by Sir Lord Jimmy Crystal. Meanwhile, Dr. Kelson deepens his study of the infected and forms a bond with one that carries huge consequences. The ensemble includes Ralph Fiennes (Dr Ian Kelson), Jack O’Connell (Sir Lord Jimmy Crystal), Alfie Williams (Spike), and others.

We discuss the shift to a slower, more contemplative pace, the smoother cinematography and clearer infected action (a welcome change from the original’s choppy style), the film’s gruesome and shocking moments, the contrasting societies on display, and the intriguing setup for what comes next.
