This episode uses wisdom from the Qur'an to ground us in truth and give us hope. We talk about the real need to practice sabr (patience), tawakkkul (reliance on and trust in Allah SWT), and gratitude - always but especially in these moments. We let the words of Allah, the Most Merciful, comfort us and bring us back to Him.

  • Awrah عورة - Private parts in Islam (Ep. 6)
    Feb 22 2026

This episode was inspired by the previous one on 'hayaa' (modesty, shyness, God consciousness). We go over what 'awrah' means and how and why it differs for men and women.

I share my personal experience dressing more modestly and give tips for the sisters who are trying to do the same. There is no correct order to do things so be kind and gentle with yourself on this journey. Allah knows what's in your heart and that you're trying.

Covering our awrah is a blessing. I share two experiences that just happened to me that show how people treat you with more respect and deference when you're dressed the way Allah asked us to in public.

We do not go into the topic of 'mahram' vs. 'non-mahram' so insha'Allah that can be another episode soon.
