Hobart • Hamilton • Singapore • Nashville • Buenos Aires LOVE • ASSURANCE • REST Good evening, and welcome to DailyPrayer.uk. I’m Reverend Ben Cooper. As this Saturday gently comes to its close, thank you for ending the day with me. Before we settle into the quietness of the evening, let’s pause together and remember one beautiful truth that can carry us peacefully through the night: we are never beyond the loving presence of God. There are days that leave us with a deep sense of gratitude, and there are days that leave us with unanswered questions. Most Saturdays contain a little of both. Yet whatever this day has held, the Lord has remained faithful from its first light until this very moment. He has walked beside us through every conversation, every decision, every unexpected turn and every quiet blessing. Tonight, we do not rest because we have understood everything that has happened today. We rest because the God who loves us has been with us every step of the way. Zephaniah 3:17 (NIV) “The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.” What a wonderful picture of God’s heart towards His children. We are not simply noticed by the Lord; we are deeply loved. His presence surrounds us, His saving power gives us confidence and His love brings quiet reassurance to our hearts. As this day comes to an end, we can place ourselves safely into His care, knowing that tomorrow will also be held securely in His hands. So tonight, let’s gently remind ourselves that fear will not win, because the Lord is with us, delights in us and faithfully watches over us through the night. Father, thank You for Your unfailing love that has carried us throughout this day. Thank You for never leaving us and for surrounding us with Your faithful care. Lord Jesus, bless every listener tonight. Bring peaceful sleep to the weary, comfort to those who feel lonely, renewed hope to those facing tomorrow and quiet confidence to every heart resting in Your presence. Across the world, from Hobart to Hamilton, from Singapore to Nashville and Buenos Aires, may every listener rest tonight knowing that the Lord is with them, delights in them and lovingly watches over them. Melbourne • Wellington • Singapore • Houston • Lima PEACE • TRUST • CONFIDENCE Good afternoon, and welcome to DailyPrayer.uk. I’m Reverend Ben Cooper. Wherever this Saturday has taken you so far, thank you for taking a few quiet moments to pause with me. In the middle of a busy day, God gently reminds us that peace is not something we have to chase. It is something we receive as we turn our hearts towards Him. Life rarely follows the plans we make. There are interruptions, unexpected conversations and moments that ask more of us than we anticipated. It is easy for our minds to become crowded with tomorrow before today has even finished. Yet our heavenly Father invites us to slow our thoughts and remember that He remains unchanging. While circumstances may move around us, His presence remains steady, His promises remain faithful and His peace is always available to those who place their trust in Him. Isaiah 26:3 (NIV) “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.” What a beautiful promise to carry through the rest of today. Peace is not found because everything around us is settled; it grows as our hearts remain fixed on the Lord. As we continue through this afternoon, we can choose to trust His wisdom, rely upon His guidance and rest in His faithful care. So today, let’s gently remind ourselves that fear will not win, because the peace of God quietly steadies every heart that trusts in Him. Father, thank You for being our constant refuge. Thank You that Your peace is deeper than our circumstances and Your faithfulness never changes. Lord Jesus, strengthen every listener this afternoon. Bring calm where there is pressure, wisdom where decisions must be made, encouragement where hearts have grown tired and fresh hope for the remainder of this day. Matthew 11:28–30 — Come to Me, All Who Are Weary Live from London, England — where faith meets the world in daily prayer and global hope. Brisbane • Auckland • Singapore • Charlotte • Bogotá REST • STRENGTH • PEACE Good morning, and welcome to DailyPrayer.uk. I’m Reverend Ben Cooper. As this Saturday morning unfolds, perhaps your mind is already full of responsibilities, conversations, plans or concerns. Whatever this day is asking of you, Jesus begins not with another demand but with a loving invitation. Life has a way of placing weight upon our shoulders. Sometimes it arrives through work, family responsibilities, unexpected circumstances or the quiet pressures that few people ever see. We often try to carry everything ourselves, believing we must stay strong for everyone around us. Yet Jesus never asks us to struggle alone. Instead, He gently calls us to come close to Him, bringing every burden into His safe and faithful hands. Matthew 11:28–30 (NIV) “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” What a gracious invitation from our Saviour. Jesus does not promise a life without challenges, but He does promise that we never have to face them without Him. As we place today’s worries, responsibilities and unanswered questions before Him, our hearts begin to settle because His strength becomes greater than our own. So today, let’s gently remind ourselves that fear will not win, because Christ walks beside us, carrying what we were never meant to carry alone. Father, thank You for Your constant care and for inviting us into Your presence. Thank You that we never have to hide our weariness from You. Lord Jesus, help every listener who feels tired, overwhelmed or anxious today. Replace heaviness with Your peace, strengthen those whose hearts feel weary and remind each one that Your grace is more than enough for every moment they will face. Holy Spirit, teach us to trust more deeply, to surrender more freely and to walk through this day with quiet confidence, knowing that You are always with us. Across the world, from Brisbane to Auckland, from Singapore to Charlotte and Bogotá, may every listener discover the gentle rest that only Jesus Christ can give. Before the pace of the day begins to gather around us, let’s quietly come into God’s presence and allow His unfailing love to steady our hearts for everything that lies ahead. Every new morning is a reminder that God has not finished with us. His love has not diminished overnight, His faithfulness has not weakened and His promises remain as certain as the rising of the sun.
