It is one of the outputs of a project entitled ‘Exploring Britain’s Ruins: Revenants and Remains at Five Northern English Religious Houses’, a programme of public engagement that is run by Dale Townshend at Manchester Metropolitan University and Michael Carter and Dominque Bouchard, both of English Heritage, and which has been generously funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council.
