Creative and community organizer A.J. sits down with Heather Simpson to discuss the effects of Covid and social unrest on Black Minds. Heather believes It's crucial for us to renegotiate our expectations around time, and space to accommodate the present. From self-guided calming exercises to giving yourself grace, it's time to be kind to yourself.

Heather Simpson is a speaker, advocate and mental health professional finishing her Masters at Lewis and Clark College with a degree in marriage couple and family therapy. Heather holds previous bachelor degrees in psychology, philosophy, and women's and gender studies from the University of Michigan-Dearborn. Heather is committed to helping people of color, LGBTQ communities, non-monogamous communities, and Kink communities thrive and connect. She plans to continue her work into private practice in Portland, Oregon and hopes to bring intersectional, pleasure focused and trauma informed care to underrepresented folks.
