This blessing is already prayed over us each Sunday, yet understanding its history and deeper meaning gives it much more significance to pray over yourself and family. Not only is the Benediction the oldest Biblical document to ever be found containing just this blessing on it, it is also one of the few places in the Bible where God tells us exactly what to say!
