    • Nourish The Roots and The Branches Will Grow
      Aug 21 2025

Welcome to Real Food Recovery, a podcast created by two lifelong processed food addicts with over 100 years of addiction (and recovery) between them. Paige Alexander and Jamie Morgan Reno use their Real Food Recovery podcast and social media channels to share their struggles, lessons learned, tools, tips, and resources that freed them from decades of food addiction, obsession, and loss.

This episode is inspired by our logo—the Tree of Life. At the trunk of our tree is real food, whole, unprocessed, single-ingredient food. It grounds us. It’s what we turn to again and again for nourishment and stability. From that trunk come our roots… and from those roots grow our branches: sleep, movement, spirituality, mindset, service, purpose, and all the beautiful things that make life worth living, allowing us to truly thrive, starting with the roots.

In every Real Food Recovery episode, Paige and Jamie take time to answer viewer questions about processed food addiction, obsession, and recovery. Join us as we dive more than skin deep into the topic of skin health with skin specialist, Rachel Draper. Rachel developed her passion for skin health and wellness after struggling with chronic fatigue, joint pain, gut imbalances, and hormonal disruptions that resulted in mood fluctuations, skin issues (like acne), infertility, weight changes, and overall health challenges. By identifying the root causes of my imbalances, she healed herself and finally feels balanced and alive again. Through taking an integrative approach to skin health, Rachel observed excellent results in her and her clients. As a skin specialist, health coach, and Integrative Health Practitioner, Rachel possesses the education and enthusiasm for treating clients with a holistic approach to skin health and wellness. Her philosophy is, "Healthy skin truly begins from within."
