Rotten Tomatoes is a review aggregator website that gathers reviews from critics to decide if a film is 'fresh' or 'rotten'. But is the critical consensus everything? Join us as we look at movies the critics of Rotten Tomatoes have decided are 'rotten'. We'll talk about movies of all kinds and attempt to unearth any redeeming qualities these films may have. We'll also ask the question, are these movies really rotten? We'll look at trivia, discuss the films plot at length and see if there is any difference between what the critics say and what audiences think.       Season 2, Episode 1 - DUUUUUUUUH DUN, DUUUUUUUUH DUN! That can only mean one thing! For January's episode we’re taking a ‘deep dive’ into Jaws…Jaws 2 that is. In 1975 the cinematic landscape was forever changed by the release of Jaws. It was a ground breaking movie, based on the popular novel by Peter Benchley and it was also heavily tied into the cultural landscape. Made by a wee up and comer named Steven Spielberg the movie took the world by storm. It was then followed up by an inevitable sequel in 1978 which we discuss here at length. But…was Jaws 2 equally as impressive and iconic as the first? Was it ‘sum-fin’ special or did it ‘flounder’?Synopsis: 4 years after the shark attacks that left Amity Island reeling, Sheriff Martin Brody finds new trouble lurking in the waters. However, Mayor Vaughn is hesitant to take action as he wants to rid the area of its grisly reputation. But the disappearance of a pair of divers suggests that all is not going ‘swimmingly’ in the waters surrounding Amity Island.Join us as we talk about the film’s scores, go over the whole plot, talk about trivia and more.       Season 1 Rankings, and the best Rank Rotten movie of 2025

      Season 1, Episode 20 - It’s the turn of the year so we thought it would be a good idea to reflect on a year of rotten movies, and most importantly rank them all from 19 to 1. We start with a wee chat about Hogmanay and our traditions and about the invasion of AI slop on social media before getting down to business and running through all 19, taking a little bit more time to discuss the top 10.


      Following that we have some fun segments as we discuss some of our favourite things from the season. There’s also some more feedback, including a musical interlude submitted by listener, friend and all round good guy; Rab. Stick around to hear about plans for Rank Rotten going forward and to hear what our first movie of 2026 will be.

      Season 1, Episode 19 (Christmas Special 1) - There was Cabbage Patch Kids, Ninja Turtles, Buzz and Woody...but all these pale in comparison to the fictional Turbo Man craze of 1996! Join us as we talk about the time Arnold Schwarzenegger spent his Christmas Eve trying to get the hottest toy in town Jingle All the Way.


      Synopsis: Workaholic Howard Langston wants to make things up to his wife and son, promising to get the hottest toy of the season, Turbo-Man for his son’s Christmas - As Langston hunts down the elusive gift on Christmas Eve, he competes with a mail man father on the same quest.


      We start with a wee discussion about some favourite Christmas movies, and films that are tangentially Christmassy and The Cheeky Girls…yeah really. We then go into the whole plot of the movie and address the fact that no one likes Booster (maybe because his weird gold pants).
