      This Radical Common Sense episode discusses Decriminalizing Mental Health: addressing the proper use of psychedelics and their potential benefits for traumatized communities and individuals. We invite two healthcare professionals that exemplify leadership during a mental health crisis.

      Dr. Maysa Alavi is a Board Certified Physician and also a researcher for MAPS, the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies. She received much of her training in Los Angeles between UCLA and USC and currently runs an integrative and collaborative mental health clinic in New Orleans. Diana Cantu-Reyna did her training at the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing and has been a pediatric intensive care unit RN for over 7 years. She is the co-founder of a nonprofit, Cultivating Self, that is proactively addressing burnout with nurses and introducing them to healing methods and technologies from around the world.
