  • What a riddy - The sequel
    Jan 19 2026

    Another "What a riddy" episode.

We pick over the Falkirk game, but as we said last week, all that mattered was the three points. And we got them

Sunday's game joins Stranraer in 1988, Whitehill Welfare and a few other " cup classics" as embarrassing performances/results against lower league opposition.

Both of these things would be okay had we had a couple of new faces in the stand, or heaven forfend, actually on the pitch.

The transfer ineptitude is the main focus of the lads' ire, especially ahead of two huge games this week.

Mind you, there is some optimism about Sunday from one of the contributors, which is a welcome relief from what goes before.

  • We're having a Yang Bang
    Jan 12 2026

The episode title will make sense, but not until the very end of the recording.

It's a mixed bag tonight; technical issues forced us to restart the recording. Some Phil Collins-related GOLD fell by the wayside, much to the annoyance of our man in the east.

Paul gave us a bit of an update from last week's collective meeting. As you can imagine, Nancy getting bagged changed the mood at that meeting as it did on our podcast recording.

The two boys discuss Saturday's game against United and we asked Davie Farrell to drop in a voice note as we'd leaned on him quite a lot and thought it would be nice for him to be positive about a Celtic performance.

The positivity dissipated somewhat when we turned our attention to the transfer window. Let's just say there's not much confidence that whoever is pulling the strings at the moment will get the players we need through the door.

The pod finishes with another voice note from "Part-time Tim", Justin Moorhouse, one of the best comedians in the country and host of the Manchester United podcast "The Good Days Are Coming", who was at the game on Saturday, sitting with Chris.

You can decide who gets the RGC of the week from the people he mentions in the voice note

  • Breaking news...
    Jan 5 2026

Well, developments on Monday had already made one of the contributors' voice notes redundant, and we were winding up for a lengthy debate about the new manager when a text message brought any speculation to a halt. With Paul away on Collective SG business we got Davie Farrell in to take his place.

We had a chat about why the emptying of Nancy was the right decision and then we had a fairly spirited discussion about Martin O'Neill getting the job until the end of the season.

It's fair to say that, amid the happiness that Nancy is gone and Martin is in, we discuss whether he should be given longer. Two say no, one says yes.

We have an absolutely incredible RGC nomination from the boy Farrell, but the host exercises his veto to nominate the two lads in row CC in section 138 of the Jock Stein Stand.

It's a cheery episode that none of us saw coming around half two on Saturday.

As you can imagine, there's little in the way of cheeriness in this week's episode.

We reflect on the Livi game, the Fir Park Shambles, and it's fair to say no one is looking forward to Saturday. We are grateful to Davie Farrell for his voice notes, which accurately capture the mood of the other three lads.

It's a tough listen but we are sure that it reflects how the (silent) majority are feeling about the club just now.

We would like to thank you all for your support and kind words about the pod, and wish you all a peaceful and happy new year.

Which is more than Johnny Kenny has managed to do in the last two games.

It's a mixed bag this week. There's some discussion about the shambles at Tannadice with a bit of input from Davie Farrell, which you'll note was recorded just after the final whistle.

We then move on to Sunday's game against Aberdeen and we genuinely look for and actually find some positives we can take from the performance.

None of us are convinced by the new manager, but at least, for the first time, we could see what he is trying to do. The issue that we don't have the personnel available is a problem so there's some chat about the upcoming window.

There's a jaw-dropping story from a trip to Carlisle that is worth hearing, incidentally.

All three of the lads thank you all for your support of the podcast, and we wish all of you who celebrate a happy and peaceful Christmas.

  • "Hysterical p*sh" Part 2
    Dec 15 2025

We got some feedback after last week's episode that we had been overly harsh in our view of the new manager.

It's fair to say that the events of the last seven days, unfortunately, have vindicated us to an extent. Incidentally, none of us takes any pleasure from that.

As we watched events unfold on the pitch, we decided that some input from an ex-pro and coach would be worthwhile, so Davie Farrell joins us to pass judgment on Nancy's "game plans" and it's no spoiler to say he's baffled at what he's seen in those first three games.

We end the pod with a very personal RGC Award, and as always, thanks to everyone for their continued support, we appreciate every single one of you who listens.

We did say when we started the pod, we wouldn't try to be knee-jerk reactionaries.

Well, that shitshow on Sunday, against the backdrop of the events of the last 10 months, has put paid to any idea of us being optimistic about what lies ahead.

There's a very brief review of the Dundee game, followed by a dissection of Sunday's horror show. We genuinely want Nancy to be a success, but there was a lot to worry about, and we discussed our concerns at some length.

We look forward to the Roma game, and it's fair to say our man in the east isn't brimming with confidence about the outcome.

Our attention then turns to the cup final and again optimism is in short supply.

F*ck me, this episode sounds like right laugh, doesn't it?

  • Celebrations all round
    Dec 1 2025

There's a fair amount of cheeriness this week.

Three great away wins have improved the mood, prompting the host to seek forgiveness from our man in the west.

We talk about that great victory in Rotterdam before moving on to Sunday's game in Edinburgh. All three lads were in attendance to see Celtic win comfortably at Easter Road although Jim and Paul (in particular) may have overindulged before and after the game.

It wouldn't be the RGC Podcast if there wasn't some moaning and the delay in announcing the new manager gives us the opportunity to go in two-footed on the board.

Finally, we agree on the RGC of the week as the repeated bed soiling from the lads from Gorgie since we anointed their manager as an RGC has us all living in fear of "the RGC Curse" .

Thanks for all your support, we really appreciate it
