Janet Boyman was the first Scottish witch to be hanged for sorcery, witchcraft and affiliation with the fae folk. Janet was executed two years after her case had started and died on the 29th December 1572.
Sought out for her abilities not only as a healer but also as a wyse woman of prophecies she went on to get herself entangled with conspirators.
