À propos de ce contenu audio

Have you got more unfinished ideas than finished ones? So do we!

That’s why every episode we invite a different creative guest (writers, poets, clowns - anything goes) to set us a challenge: take their prompt and come up with a pitchable concept in just one hour.

It might be good. It might be terrible. But it will be finished. And by the end, our guest gives their verdict: would they slap that pitch?

    • 'Rob's Antiques' w/ Ellie Janes
      Feb 25 2026

Rob's Antiques (est. 2067) is full of objects that are weirdly, unsettlingly familiar... because every item in there is an object from your past.

In our latest episode, motion designer and Jack of all trades Ellie Janes gave us a Mermaid Chunky album as our prompt - and this is what we came up with. We also talked creative burnout, structure vs. spontaneity, and - of course - sci-fi cowboys.

    • Ep 5. 'The Punchline is Love' w/ Maria Ansdell
      Jan 25 2026

Clowns, comedy, and the kind of vulnerability you can’t script!

This week we’re joined by Maria Ansdell (clown-school grad and A-level drama comrade) as she shares the highs and lows of clown school, and tells us about her upcoming show Closure Cabaret — a one-woman cabaret exploring heartbreak, fantasy, and the messy idea of “closure”.

    • Ep 4. 'Mr Mauler's Monster Mall' w/ Achilles Flyte
      Jul 27 2025

In this episode, we’re joined by writer and theatre-maker Achilles Flyte, whose prompt leads us to a delightfully monstrous idea...

We talk about working with children and how their perspectives can open up new creative possibilities, the joys of picture books, and the differences between writing fiction and non-fiction.

We also dig into the role of issue-driven art - especially in spaces like refugee-led theatre - and ask: does engaging with a story feel like action, or actually lead to change?
