Good afternoon. Pennsylvania. I'm Aaron Jolly. That steady drumming on your roof this morning? We needed that. After one of the driest winters on record. Pennsylvania is finally soaking up some moisture. We've picked up about a quarter inch of rain since overnight. And the clouds aren't done yet. In the next 24 hours. Right now. Southeast Pennsylvania is sitting at 51 degrees under stubborn gray skies. You'll see the patchy fog thin out by mid-morning. Rain chances ramp up between 2 and 5 P.M., then really settle in tonight. Lows dip to 41. Head west and it's noticeably milder. Western Pennsylvania climbs to 55 degrees this afternoon. You might catch a slight rain chance, but the main event waits until tonight. Lows barely budge, staying warm at 52 as that moist air builds in. Central Pennsylvania lands right in the middle at 47 degrees. Rain becomes likely overnight with lows around 43. Thursday keeps the wet weather going statewide. You might even hear a rumble of thunder Thursday night. It's a warm spread, ranging from 51 degrees in the east to 66 near Pittsburgh. But here's the headline. This weekend brings a serious spring preview. Saturday surges to 68 to 76 degrees across Pennsylvania. That's running about 41 degrees above normal for early March. We're talking the warmest air we've felt since late fall. Sunday and Monday stay unseasonably mild, with highs in the mid-60s to near 70. The spring equinox is still two weeks away, but by Saturday, it will feel like we've already arrived. Keep that umbrella handy for the next 24 hours. You'll not need it by the weekend.
