In this episode, we explore the difference between panic attacks and panic disorder from both therapy and medication perspectives. We explain what’s happening in the body and brain during panic, why the symptoms feel so intense, and how panic can start to take over daily life.
From the therapy side, we discuss evidence-based approaches, focusing on how changing the relationship with panic—not eliminating it—helps reduce fear and regain control. From the medication side, we review common treatment options, when they may be helpful, and how medication and therapy can work together.
Our goal is to reduce stigma, and offer hope: panic is treatable, and recovery is possible.
