  • Looking Back to Move Forward: Interview with Francesco Sani
    Dec 15 2025
In this episode, I sit down with researcher and thinker Francesco Sani to explore deep questions about our ancient past. We discuss the stellar cult and other early belief systems, the origins of fairy tales, astrotheology, and why the study of the zodiac and the stars once held such profound importance. This conversation is part of my ongoing journey to understand what fairy tales truly mean at an esoteric level — as symbolic vessels carrying ancient knowledge, cosmology, and moral insight. Through interviews like this, I’m seeking to uncover the true nature, significance, and spiritual effects of reviving traditional fairy tales in the modern world, and why these stories may be more relevant now than ever.

  • Stop Wearing Polyester
    Jul 23 2025
I get out my dowsing cards and pendulum to find a quirky antidote to overinvesting in social media.

Removing polyester clothing from your wardrobe is one small step to tip the scales against the ascending Ahrimanic force, the technologically tyrannical life we live in our current times. How? Polyester clothing is an endocrine disruptor, causing infertility. Polyester is also bad for the environment and the body as it releases microplastics. What looks and feels like a soft stylish shirt is deceptively damaging upon further thought and investigation. Furthermore, polyester holds a negative charge, causing static shocks to the wearer. This is in opposition to the practice of earthing where someone would walk on the earth in bear feet so the body absorbs the negative charge of the earth. Earthing is a way of connecting to spirit, better thoughts and ideas which is where the connection lies between Ahriman and polyester clothing. Purging polyester clothing from the wardrobe promotes the possibility of proper electrical charge of the body, from the earth bringing the soul back. Some say that earthing is a way of connecting our spiritual selves to our daily life, which is exactly what Ahriman strives to prevent. I think one very good, simple solution to the Ahrimanic explosion is making conscious choices with clothing.

I go deeper into this in an essay you can read on my substack:

If you "know the rules", understand Natural Law, act in kindness, act in service of good… then the woo-woo stuff can be a valuable tool. In fact, you can do anything you want! Tarot, dowsing and more can be the tools in your toolkit to help you with many aspects of your life. You can receive advice on: things you are missing in your life; your diet; exercise; your health condition; shadow aspects of yourself that need addressing; environmental changes that need attention. Is Tarot something that can be used to serve and help others? There is an aspect to Tarot reading services that can be disempowering for the client. The client may be yielding their power, handing it over to the reader, because they are afraid to take action on something. Sometimes, taking action is the best way forward, regardless of the outcome. Tarot reading might be more unpopular if the reader was to be more direct and honest. I am interested in this dynamic, because in a way, people are looking to be told what to do… and no-one likes being told what to do!

  • Dire Circumstances in Fairy Tales (Reasons for Eliminating Fairy Tales)
    Jun 13 2025
Pablo Picasso said, “We all know that Art is not truth. Art is a lie that makes us realise truth at least the truth that is given us to understand. The artist must know the manner whereby to convince others of the truthfulness of his lies.” There is some connection between art, creativity, the subconscious mind and the space in which young children hold themselves. The point being, in art, things are not what they seem. There are symbols that lead us to a deeper truth. This is the case with Fairy Tales. We read through Lying, Truthtelling and Storytelling in Children's and Young Adult Literature, by Anita Tarr. We are trying to highlight the importance of "Fairy Tales as nutrition for the soul". Extreme poverty, for example, found in Mother Goose Stories does not promote depression, futility and a future of poverty. It will add to the world-view of the child, organise the experience, grow cognition and the ability to recognise and overcome problems. Poverty in Fairy Tales is often a starting point on a journey of growth and overcoming the odds. As ever, taking away themes of hardship and violence in children's stories doesn't affirm our role as guardian, nor does it protect children from these realities they may face in life. In fact it reduces the likelihood of facing these life-challenges in a positive way.

  • Fairy Tales are Violent Part Two (Reasons for Eliminating Fairy Tales)
    Jun 5 2025
Exploring the patterns in "The Blade of Straw, The Coal and The Bean", thanks to Marie-Louise von Franz, shows us the duality and closeness of things that might seem opposing or separate. Funerals become wonderful celebrations. Joyous parties become angry brawls. The episode aims to lead you to the concept that attempting to eliminate "violence", from children's books and real-life, is also an (unconscious) attempt to eliminate joy, humour and laughter from children when they are older. Domineering, negatively-reinforcing and "preventative" parents (who also misunderstand violence) usually aren't much fun to be around and lack a sense of humour!

  • Fairy Tales are Violent (Reasons for Eliminating Fairy Tales)
    May 29 2025
In this episode of Otherworld Connections, we begin an exploration of the culture around fairy tales. We start off with one of the five main reasons why fairy tales are being banned, edited or censored. The first and foremost reason is regarding violence. We unpack how the term "violence" is misunderstood and by editing fairy tales actually increases the violent content in fairy tales!

  • Save The Bees to Save Ourselves Part Eight
    May 22 2025
Try a listening meditation on the sound of a swarm of bees. What do you hear? What else do you hear? What is your "inner voice" telling you? The ancient Egyptians likened the sound of bees to the voice of souls crying out. Is this literally true? I believe there is truth to this concept. The only way to discover the truth about our existence, and to understand the laws of nature, is by discovery. So this buzzing meditation is a way to discover our abilities to make otherworld connections and find our way.
