Welcome to the For Us Podcast. Created by Tahyira and Ashley (Perky). This podcast was created through our For Us organization which aims to uplift our movements and bring access to our communities regarding Education, ownership, business opportunities, and more. We are coming from places of action. We have no more time to waste. We are: F E A R L E S S L Y O R G A N I Z E D R E V O L U T I O N A I R I E S Below is just for the first episode. Why We founded For Us: For Us 4 Us is a platform to bring together like-minded millennial marginalized folks. We are pushing back at cultural appropriation and bringing access to our people. For Us was established to be that voice in the crowd, to get you that seat at the table, join us as we grow our community of marginalized voices everywhere. Fearlessly Organized Revolutionaries of the United States is a new social class system that works on creating safe spaces for millennial souls who have done everything right, and still got everything wrong. We will bring tools into our communities to help engage our youths, courses to help grow our businesses, classes and events that promote mental health wellness and positive thinking, as well as advocate policy changes regarding Sustainability, Criminal Justice Reform, Equity, and Women’s Rights.Copyright 2026 Développement personnel Réussite personnelle

    • S3E2 - Special Episode: Minority Mental Health Awareness
      Jul 31 2025
For Us Nation partners with NAMI, On The Ground Level

The theme for Minority Health Month 2025 is "Advancing Commitments to Eliminate Health Disparities," encouraging individuals, organizations and communities to work together to improve the health outcomes of minority populations.

For Us partners to bring NAMI on the ground level - Tahyira has signed up to work with the organization to curate events targeting young black professionals.

In many marginalized communities, mental health challenges have long been silenced—buried under stigma, isolation, and lack of access. Today, a powerful shift is underway. Brave voices are rising. Stories are being shared. At NAMI, we see it every day: one conversation can spark hope, build trust, and start the healing process.

      #BlackMentalHealthMatters | #AfricanImmigrantStrong

For those of us in Black/African Ancestry communities, being open about how we’re really doing can be a struggle.

There are stereotypes to overcome; pressures to be excellent; fears of being perceived as vulnerable or spiritually weak.

To compound these challenges, We have been disproportionately impacted by a global pandemic; we are constantly confronted with the trauma of racism and police brutality in the media; and our community continues to be one of the fastest growing but most poorly understood. As a result, we must find better and more accessible ways to start talking about our individual and communal wellness.

      Facts about mental health

Black adults are 20% more likely to report serious psychological distress than white adults

The suicide rate among Black youth has been increasing faster than any other racial/ethnic group

Only 1 in 3 Black adults in need of mental health treatment receive it

GUEST: Micah McFarlane is founder and CEO of REVEL Spirits, an innovative agave spirit made naturally in Morelos, Mexico. Micah has over twenty years as an executive in the entertainment industry managing all aspects of multi-million-dollar tours for artists such as Cyndi Lauper, Dwight Yoakam, Bob Newhart and Blondie. His experience spans logistics planning, contract negotiations, sales & marketing, extensive festival production, sponsorship sales and talent buying. He is an entrepreneur, co-founding and operating a successful management company, which engaged in active and aggressive promotions, tour coordination, booking, career planning and scheduling.

When launching REVEL, Micah wanted to do something incredibly bold and different – so he created an entirely new category under the agave umbrella called Avila, which is a handcrafted agave-based spirit, often thought of as the lovechild of tequila and mezcal. He is now joined by part owner and celebrity Justin Hartley and has launched four Avila products, Revel Avila Blanco, Reposado, and Añejo and canned cocktail the REVEL Avila Spritz. Micah has created a world of success and actively influences people in the black and brown community to pursue their dreams of reaching business highs like him. @revelspirits4382 Visit Revelspirits.com @MicahMcFarland
