In September 1934, their 30-minute radio program premiered as The Adventures of Gracie, whose title changed to The Burns and Allen Show in 1936. From 1936 till 1950, the series switched back and forth between NBC and CBS until it was cancelled. Burns and Allen reemerged on television with a successful situation comedy, which lasted from 1950 to 1958.
