    • Build that mental resilience!
      Jun 21 2023

What is mental resilience? Resilience is defined as the capacity to recover from difficulties or be flexible even through adversities. Mental resilience is defined as an individual's ability or life skills to adapt to hardships, stress, emotional difficulties, and mental health adversities. Mental toughness is not about building new strength it's working with the negative things in your life and turning them into something positive. A positive mindset attracts positivity. This is the law of attraction; Have morning affirmations. You can only reach your goals through commitment, consistency, and hard work. I keep telling myself this and you can tell yourself this; You have dug your soul out of the dark. You have fought to be here. Do not go back to what buried you. Anyone can give up, its the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength.

    • Don't give up the beginning is always the hardest
      Jun 4 2023

Depression and PTSD are up to 5 times more common in First Responders than general public. Life is messy and unpredictable but that's okay, fix what you can, adapt to what you can't and keep doing your best. Life doesn't challenge you because your weak, it's challenging you to show you just how strong you truly are. With my past experiences current lessons, and things I've changed in my life I hope sharing some of those is this episode may help to whoever's listening. How I've grown my resilience, grown and improved mentally, physically, spiritually, and emotionally has dramatically improved my life. Always remember, mental or physical health, you can't effect or change one without effecting the other.
